Enclomiphene is the more active isomer of clomiphene, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). In men, it blocks estrogen feedback at the pituitary, which raises LH and FSH and prompts the testes to produce more of the body's own testosterone. In the U.S. it is available as a compounded medication prescribed by licensed clinicians.
TRT adds testosterone from outside, which can suppress your natural production and affect fertility. Enclomiphene works upstream, stimulating your own production, so testicular function and sperm production are typically preserved. Your clinician reviews your labs, symptoms, and goals to decide whether enclomiphene fits. Tor Health does not offer testosterone therapy.
Men with low or borderline testosterone who want to keep their natural production going, especially those who may want children now or in the future, sometimes consider enclomiphene before or instead of TRT. Candidacy depends on your labs and history, which a licensed clinician reviews first.
Enclomiphene is a tablet taken by mouth, typically once daily, following your clinician's instructions. No injections are involved, and your clinician adjusts the dose based on follow-up labs and how you feel.
Enclomiphene is generally well tolerated; some men notice headache, nausea, acne, or mood changes, and visual disturbances are a rare but important reason to stop and contact your clinician. Your clinician reviews risks with you and monitors your labs throughout treatment.
